About Apollo Event Consultants

With over 30 years’ experience, having started in the events business in 1984 and launching Apollo Event Consultants in 2002, Tim Hanbury is renowned in the industry for designing, planning and creating some of the most exciting and innovative parties, society weddings and events in the country.

Tim threw himself into the party business straight from school as a DJ with Juliana’s Travelling Discotheque, playing at school leavers’ dances, charity balls and private parties all over the UK and abroad.  Highlights include Mick Jagger’s 40th and Motown Queen Diana Ross’s wedding in Switzerland.  This was followed by time working in the corporate sector and the start of the themed Christmas party allowing businesses to party on a budget.

Apollo was born from Tim’s desire to plan events with a very personal touch and to deliver beyond all expectation and recent career highlights include; a Royal Wedding in the private grounds of Kensington Palace and in 2015 Apollo were chosen to organise the infrastructure for the historic 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta in Runnymede with 4,500 high profile guests – Tim’s largest event to date and a once in a lifetime experience.

Tim is committed to the ethos that the planning journey should be as fun as the event itself and that the reason for the event, to have fun and celebrate, should never be lost.
