The Brief:

As a company grows, so the task of organising the summer party gets harder. This particular client has 7 offices dotted all over the country, including one in Ireland. The brief was simple enough, though the logistics were more taxing: the main focus was to get 175 delegates together for a fun but structured team bonding day. The venue needed to be easily accessible from all the offices and one that could cope with bad weather.

The Solution:

After a thorough search, we decided upon a fantastic purpose built venue designed around the theme of a desert island, situated in Gloucestershire and within easy reach of the M4 & M5. The guests arrived by coach, with the Dublin office being picked up from Bristol on the way for a 10am start, having had breakfast en route.

On arrival, guests were transported across the water to the island and put into their teams with colour coded wrist bands. The day was then spent being put through various tasks ranging from Dragon Boat Racing, Quad Bike Obstacle Courses to Krypton Factor style games.

After the activities the scores were calculated as the delegates helped themselves to lunch from the barbecue and settled down around the campfire to relive every moment. The winners were awarded champagne and a dip in the hot tub, while the losers experienced the ducking chair! As the sun went down a weary group boarded the coaches and headed for home.

Another hugely successful day where everyone really got to know each other and one that will be remembered for a long time to come.
